Tissot, this watch making company has a legacy of more than 150 years. It was founded in 1853, in a small Swiss town of Le Locle and over the years has expanded to nearly 150 countries around the world.

Tissot watches used high quality materials such as 316L steel, 18K gold and titanium. They have sapphire crystal scratch proof glasses and are water resistant from 30m to 300m. Since 1985, Tissot has been member of the Swatch Group which is the biggest watch producer. Tissot has a wide gamut of watch collections like the elegant party watches Gold & Pocket collection, Sport, Classic, Trend collection.

The Rapuzel line in the Gold & pocket collection has a decorative bracelet instead of a strap that is made of plated golden thread. The Pearl Fishers line has Oriental freshwater pearls that adorn the wrist bracelet of the watch. To keep abreast with the burgeoning technology, Tissot recently released the tissot online line of watches that incorporate the touch driven technology.

The separate functions of the watch can be activated by means of the touch sensitive screen. It features a barometer, thermometer, altimeter, chronograph and compass along with the normal functions of keeping time. These watches have been used in movies like 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider' and 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'. Tissot is the time keeper for MotoGP, NASCAR and other championships.

Some of the limited edition watches are named after prominent people in sports such as football star Michael Owen, Indy car racer Danica Patrick, MotoGP star Nicky Hayden. On the 150th anniversary of the company, a book was released that showcases the heritage of the company and is written by watch historian Estelle Fallet.
